Drum lessons are available for ages 8 and above; from beginner to experienced. In person lessons are provided at my home in a custom made drum studio. Students are provided a Roland TD1 KPX 2 which mimics the feel of a real kit, provides a range of drum sounds for various lessons and minimises noise levels.
I have been teaching all grades (1 to 8) for over 20 years and have a 100% pass rate. Grades can be beneficial to students looking to apply to university as they provide extra UCAS points.
You will learn a range of topics throughout your lessons. From fundamentals such as grip, posture and rudiments to independence, music reading, beats, fills, coordination and more.
As your lessons continue you will be introduced to a range of music styles including pop, rock, R&B, funk, jazz, latin, reggae and more.
Playing the drums enhances coordination, reduces stress, and boosts cognitive development and has been shown to reduce anxiety.
